From June to October 2009, the story that would eventually become 47 Echo appeared in chunks nightly on Twitter. I would sit down and write anywhere from 500 to 2000 words and immediately post them to my @Tweet_Book account without editing for grammar, spelling, or continuity.
The results were, to say the least, interesting.
I also recruited other talented writers -- Lisa Kupfer, Nate Hoppe, Trace Eber, Brian Kupfer, and Heather Harris -- to write Supplemental stories while I was putting together 47 Echo. The purpose of these stories was to further expand the universe in which the main story took place. Also, I told my guest authors that anything they wrote would immediately become canon, thereby forcing me to think on my toes and incorporate what each of them wrote into the larger story. The Supplementals are still available online at The Twitter Novel Project blog -- I encourage you to check them out, as they're all outstanding.
47 Echo is currently scheduled for release on January 17, 2011. Check the News page for more release information. When the book is available, direct links to the Carina Press store, Amazon, the Sony Reader store, and the iBookstore will appear at the top of this page.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to sharing the story of 47 Echo SRF with you!
